Our First Year As A Video Production Company

Wow, we can’t believe we are nearing the end of the first year for our video production company The Kiln! We opened in Ottawa in mid-January after moving from Australia to Canada with no network, minimal connections and the humble goal of achieving a couple of paying clients within the first 6 months.

Well it’s safe to say our goals were blown out of the water! We are proud to have produced work for a multitude of diverse industries, companies, brands and people in our first 12 months. Everything from NGOs, advertising agencies, lifestyle brands to national sports teams producing a range of work from commercials, campaigns, product work, features, interviews to music videos across 5 different countries.

There is no question that it has been difficult and challenging most of this year, trying to birth a new company during multiple lockdowns and COVID setbacks here in Canada and across the world, but to achieve what we have so far is something we are very proud of. A big thank you to all those we have worked with this past year and we look forward to working with you again this year.
